Be a part of the best club on campus! Whether you fancy yourself as the next Tom Brady or you've never picked up a ball in your life, everyone is welcome and guaranteed time on the pitch. Training, socials and matches are the perfect retreat from the week's lectures. This is going to be a good year for the Warwick Wolves, and we'd love for you to be a part of it!

Whether you have a passion for the American football, like playing physical sports, or just want to enjoy legally smashing someone, then this is the club for you. Because the diversity of positions is a key aspect of any American football team, all shapes and sizes are needed to fill the roster.

 

American football is the ultimate team sport and as such every player on the team is valued and respected. Every team member is expected to pull their weight in training, fitness, and matches, and be willing to learn new skills and techniques from the coaching staff. Collective efforts will pay off come the start of season.

 

 

But the Wolves aren’t exclusively about what happens on the pitch. There are weekly socials at the student’s union, Sunday evenings at TJ’s Bar & Bistro in Leamington Spa where we can relax after training/matches and watch the night's NFL action, as well as countless other events over the course of the year. We regularly join up with the Warwick Devils cheerleading squad and the Warwick Wolverines Women’s Flag Football club for even bigger nights out.

 

We recruit new players throughout the year, although most rookies join in freshers week where it is a lot easier to join the community, get the most from the training time and take part in the most socials.

 

 

We want you to enjoy playing American football for the Warwick Wolves. It is, however, arguably the most demanding sport in terms of strength and fitness that you will ever play. Therefore it is essential that you prepare for the challenge in order to shrug off the demands it puts on your body and strength of character. This aspect will be taken care of during pre-season training which will be starting in the first week of term 1.
