The Golf Club at Warwick offers fantastic golfing opportunities for all levels of golfer, whether you're looking for the highest level of competition, a social membership or are looking to try golf for the first time, there is something for you. This is all complimented by some of the best socials events provided by any sports team. The 2011/12 season has been another memorable one for warwick golf and both teams will be looking to perform strongly this year in the Midlands Division 2A.

In October 2012 trials will be held to determine a squad of 20 who will be able to purchase a year's membership at nearby Kenilworth GC (www.kenilworthgolfclub.co.uk) for a discounted £95. These 20 people will be the squad from which the two teams will be selcted each week. The squad usually consists of no higher than 12 handicap, to give an idea of standards, featuring numerous players off a 3 handicap or better, although all players are welcome to trial out! If you are coming to Warwick for the first time in October or are a current Warwick student who wants to get in involved in the 2012/13 season please come along to the Sports Fair on Tuesday 2nd October from 10.30am

Golf Lessons and Range Sessions

The golf club is just as renowned for its provision for 'Golf for all'. If you are an absolute beginner or just looking to improve, we run weekly range trips to a local driving range, John Reay Golf Centre, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, where we can offer subsidised tuition from fully qualified PGA professional Rob Hunter. For those looking to play golf but at a non-competitive level, there are ample opportunities regardless of experience. Weekly golf trips are arranged for everyone on a Wednesday to local clubs, so those not involved in the scratch team but want to play golf can do so.

Student Tournaments and Tour

There are also termly friendly matches typically open to everyone, against University staff teams and nearby golf clubs. Last year also saw a successful golf tour to Mallorca and Edinborough and Belfast the years before. Along with this, those in the golf team will have the chance to play at St Andrews in the Boyd Quaich trophy along with the world Student Matchplay championships held annually in Munich. We also offer a highly active and varied social calendar, with highlights including Sports Circling which takes place every Wednesday evening in The Copper Rooms.
