· Improved blood circulation – The majority of yoga postures aim to improve and maintain good blood circulation all over the body. Increased blood circulation removes body impurities and eliminates toxins.
· Improved breathing – Frequent yoga practise increases lung capacity and stabilizes breathing. Deep breathing yoga exercises make reduce the body’s acidity levels reducing the risk of bone and tissue damage, arthritis and fatigue.
· Better physical shape – Yoga helps to regulate body metabolism and digestion, in turn assisting weight loss.

· Enhanced cognitive ability – A common technique used in yoga is breathing through one nostril at a time, breathing through one nostril results in increased activity on the opposite side of the brain.
