A quick note from your President:
Hello! I'm Zoe, your ZSK Pres. for 2012-13. I only started ZSK last October, having never even thought of trying martial arts before, and I soon became completely and utterly addicted. The classes are so much fun - no two ever the same. I am stronger, fitter and have learnt to defend myself in a fight. What's more, I have met the most amazing people; I am constantly in awe of our incredible, world class instructors. So whether you are a beginner, like me, or an established black belt, ZSK has a lot to offer. Read below to find out all about us and I hope to see you in class!
What is ZSK?
Zhuan Shu Kuan Chinese Kickboxing (ZSK) is a contemporary full-contact martial art. ZSK incorporates elements from traditional Chinese kung-fu combined with more modern training and fighting techniques.
ZSK at Warwick is taught by three senior instructors, two male and one female, all with full-contact competition experience and extensive training in a range of martial arts.

• Trained at Muaythai Institute, Rangsit, Thailand

What do we learn?
Our syllabus includes punches, kicks, knees and elbows combined with open-hand techniques, grabs, throws and joint locks. Unlike some martial arts, we have no restriction on fighting techniques with the aim being to teach students how to fight rather than how to compete within a specific set of rules.
Who can join?
Our club welcomes both beginners and experienced martial artists alike; regardless of your experience, our instructors will aim to drive you at an appropriate level to improve both your level of fitness and technique.
When do we train?
We have three classes a week in the Activities Room on the top floor of the Sport's Centre on campus:

• Thursdays: 8pm-9:30pm
• Sundays: 2pm-4pm
