Introduction
Combining skill, speed, dexterity, and intelligence, fencing is an amazing way of getting fit and sharpening your reactions. Whether you've fenced before and wish to reach your potential at this Olympic sport, or if you're an absolute beginner, we cater for all abilities, providing all the equipment and coaching that you'll need.
Experienced members have the opportunity to compete in BUCS matches and other competitions while for those new to the sport, there's the chance to take part in The National Novices Championships, hosted by the club in December. However, there's no pressure to go to such events, and you are welcome to simply fence at training and to attend our wide range of fun and enjoyable socials.
Training With us
Your first session is free! Turn up to any one of our training sessions and the exec will help you get kitted up and fencing. Come in things you wouldn't mind doing a gym session in (fencing in a shirt isn't fun - believe me) and wear a pair of tracksuit trousers. You might want to bring a towel, water and a change of clothes too.
Warwick Sport Membership is required for anybody wishing to fence. Fencing Club Membership (£6 p.a) is required after your first taster session. Once that's out of the way, just turn up!
Session fees are to be paid in cash to the current treasurer. You can either pay once to cover the whole term, or pay every session you choose to attend. All this goes back into the club, towards things like paying for our coach, as well as equipment maintenance and repairs.
