What do YOU do with your Sundays?
Mixed Hockey is one of the most vibrant clubs here at Warwick, the emphasis being on fun and enjoyment rather than being strictly competitive. We meet on Sunday afternoons, starting with informal coaching for beginners (including those who've never lifted a stick!), progressing to a cheeky knockabout for anyone and everyone. We play several matches against other universities and local clubs as part of a bespoke mixed hockey league developed especially by us to get great games and great banter. We also go on three tours a year and host a large annual tournament. Most importantly, Sunday evenings are reserved for our infamous socials! What more could you want?
Sunday Training:
1 - 3pm for cheeky games and training exercises at Westwood Astros, mini tournaments etc... fun and games.
For week 1 we will be meeting people outside Costcutters at 12:30pm to take them across to the astros.
Then to Varsity for food and drinks!
Sunday Social
Meet at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start in the Mighty Duck Sports Bar (Dirty Duck). Come along and get involved, chat about the week, play some games and have a drink, if you feel so inclined!

Tournamental!
Tournamental sees some of the country's best Mixed Hockey Teams assemble at Warwick in Term 2 (Week 8) to play in our legendary Tournament. The Saturday night involves a massive, themed social taking place in the Student's Union, with the hockey, barbecue and obligatory bouncy castle following on the Sunday.

The classiest social event of the year! We show men's and ladies how its done! This will be held in week 9 term 2: the event everyone wants to be at!
Mini TOUR
Mini tour gives you the chance to bond with other members, create mischief, and simply just get out of the Warwick bubble. Over the last four years we have launched successful mini-tours to Glasgow, Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Brighton and Southampton where we faced off against the locals in what can only be described as epic battles of hockey, possibly with hangovers. Mini Tour is the highlight of Term 1 and is an event not to be missed!!!
Easter TOUR
The legendary annual tour has taken our members to such exotic climes as Poland, Italy, Spain and Hungary in the last few years. Most recently we headed to Lisbon in Portugal and we weren't disappointed. Flying out there to the sun drenched streets of Lisbon with its squares and small cobbled streets. We had 5 fun-filled days in one of Europe's most interesting cities, with plenty of night-time banter and hockey to boot.
Running
Ever since 2007, members of Mixed Hockey have been swapping their hockey sticks for running shoes and running a ridiculous distance all for charity. That year saw the club raise money for Cancer sufferers and their families, with a massive £4000 being raised for the Isabel Hospice. A quite wonderful effort from all! The tradition has continued, supporting a variety of charities, with the most recent event in May 2010 raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, where one member raised nearly £700 on his own.
Mixed Hockey Members will again be taking to the road for the Lady Godiva Half Marathon through Coventry and Campus. If you're up for a 13.1 mile jog and want to run in a team then get your skates on (not literally- that's cheating) and join us.
