Entering Term 3 and sadly nearing the end of an extremely successful year for UWWNC, with a clean sweep in Varsity, the BUCs 1s being crowned Cup Champions and League 1s having an unbeaten season. With exams looming and revision taking its toll, everyone will be looking forward to the Sports Ball for a final celebration as a club. Welcome to UWWNC - the largest women’s sports club at Warwick University; we are The University of Warwick Women’s Netball Club. We pride ourselves on being a club of dedicated, ambitious, hard-working, fun and enthusiastic group of players – whatever the standard. There is a space for everyone in UWWNC, from our elite BUCS squad of three teams, to the competitive league teams and down to our beginners squad. We encourage everyone to get involved in the sport we love, and our captains work hard through-out the year allowing us to see constant improvement of players, and regular movement upwards through teams. We are a club of fun and welcoming members, and our socials are open to all players. We hold a weekly circle, as well as many other socials through-out the year. All members are also encouraged to get involved with our regular fundraising and volunteering events, with opportunities made available through-out the year. Being a part of the UWWNC offers an experience beyond just a sports club; you will make lifelong memories, achievements and friends.

TRAINING: TRAINING TIMES TBC

Training sessions are twice weekly for BUCS players on a Monday and Thursday, with additional compulsory fitness and strength & conditioning sessions. All times and places are TBC as soon as possible.

League training is on a Wednesday afternoon at Lakeside courts (time TBC) and also on a weekend (time TBC). There are also fitness sessions encouraged for all league members. The members of the higher league teams train with BUCS on a Thursday evening.

MATCHES:

BUCS matches are played every Wednesday afternoon against Universities across the Midlands.

The top 2 League teams play matches against local universities and schools throughout the year, and the lower teams play in the inter-mural E&Y league. E&Y matches are played on campus on Saturday afternoons.

Whatever your ability, everyone is encouraged to join UWWNC and we can guarantee you an amazing, fun and memorable time at University, both on and off the court.
