"JUMP?!? Out of a plane???..."
Skydive Warwick is one of the biggest and most successful sports clubs at the University of Warwick, having over 100 members and countless trophies over the past few years. We aim to get as many people as possible to experience skydiving for themselves, in a safe and enjoyable fashion. With our support, club members are encouraged to progress within the sport, meet like minded people and attain personal goals.
For those who are new to the sport, we organise accelerated free-fall courses and Ram Air Progression System courses at our home drop-zone Sibson in Peterborough. Our yearly Easter tour is another great time to get involved with Spain and the U.S.A. being visited in the past. Experienced club members are encouraged to further their abilities and qualifications, during further wind tunnel trips, and through progression courses.
As a member of the British Collegiate Parachute Association, we have plenty of connections to the wider UK skydiving community and we attend frequent meetups with other university clubs. Additionally, we hold weekly socials to break down the barriers between those with differing experience levels and time within the sport.
The club has developed massively within the last few years, recently winning the BCPA Achievements league, Warwick Sport's Most Improved Club Award and the national Real World Awards Most Improved Club prize all in the same year. Also in 2010 the clubs success continued winning the BCPA Competitions league and the Warwick Sport Cecil Angel Trophy.
We now have a fantastic mix of new and experienced skydivers, and our exposure has never been bigger - we aim to keep this trend going!
