Triathlon and Road Cycling
Welcome to the Warwick Triathlon Club web pages. Whether you are new to triathlon or an experienced pro, we aim to cater for all abilities. If you are only interested in one or two of the individual sports (swimming, cycling, running), then feel free to come and join us in any of our sessions. We have a qualified coach (m.w.pharaoh@warwick.ac.uk) who can help with all your questions, whether it is "How should I train for a Triathlon?", " Can you please teach me to swim?!" or "Where is the nearest bike shop?"! A number of people often go for food after swim training. Feel free to join us at any of the following training sessions:
Training Times 11/12
Swimming:
- Mon: 5-6 pm (1 lane - beginners/technique work)
- Mon: 6-7pm (3 lanes)
- Thurs: 7.30-9am (1 lane, not a coached session, use one from blue folder)
- Sun: 6-7pm (3 lanes)
Running:
- Tues: 6pm - meet at sports centre (intervals, hills, 4 mile run-sometime longer!)
- Wed: 2pm - meet at Cryfields Pavilion (This session is run by the Athletics Club but many of our triathletes attend - the run is normally 40-60mins and caters for all running abilities)
Cycling:
- Wed: indoor bike session - 6.30pm, Sports Centre Studio
- Sat: outdoor bike session - meet at 9.30am at the Sports Centre, bring usual kit plus mobile & pennies for poss tea stop
- Sun: indoor bike session - 9.30am Advanced, 10.15am Beginners, Sports Centre Studio (starts week 2)
- Weekly bike rides organised within the club, join the google email group (Warwick Triathlon) or FB for details on these.
