A number of Warwick Sport club use coaches on a regular basis. These normally fall into 6 catagories:
Self Employed External (A paid coach completely external to the University)
Self Employed Student of the University of Warwick (A paid coach who is also a current student at the University)
Self Employed Staff of the University of Warwick (A paid coach who also works for the University)
Volunteer External (A non paid coach completely external to the University)
Volunteer Student of the University of Warwick (A non paid coach who is also a current student at the University)
Volunteer Staff of the University of Warwick (A non paid coach who also works for the University)
Clubs can only register & use three volunteer coaches

Warwick Sport Sports Club Exec members are recognised as volunteer session leaders and unless suitably qualified do not need to register as an official coach with Warwick Sport
Warwick Sport encourages Clubs engage the services of coaching for their sports. All Club coaches must be registered and approved by Warwick Sport.
Coaches are approved (and need to be reapproved) at the beginning of each academic year. A coaching packs are also available from the Warwick Sport Office. Warwick Sport will always assist Clubs that wish to find coaching to do so. If you require help, please contact the Administator on email firstname.lastname@example.org who is based in the Warwick Sport Office.
Under no circumstances should a coach be paid at a session directly as part of the payment for their services; neither should a club pay any additional monies to coaches over and above their agreed rate. For a coaching money request and invoice template please click here
It is the responsibility of the Club Exec to make sure that coaches are qualified to a sufficiently high standard to ensure your members are coached safely. If you have any doubts about the qualifications required, you should contact your national governing body for advice or speak with Warwick Sport.
Coaches should only submit their coaching pack after they have received authorisation from the Sports Club President & Treasurer.
Before any coaching can take place by any coaching, the following documents should be submitted by return of post, email, or through a club representative:
· A signed copy of the Service Level Agreement (within Coaching Pack)
· Completed Contact Information Form, including tax number
· Copies of Certificates or evidence of current, relevant qualifications
· Current Insurance Certificate for Professional Indemnity (unless Student Coach*)

*Provided students have the necessary qualifications or experience and they are not being paid (other than out of pocket expenses) then volunteer students are covered under the Warwick Sport public liability cover
