Scholarships of up to £500 are available to individuals who are competing at the top level in their chosen sports. Warwick Sport Scholarships of up to £500 are awarded to athletes performing at a Senior National or International Level, Warwick Sports Bursaries of up to £300 are awarded to athletes competing at a Junior National or International Level and Warwick Sport Awards of up to £100 are awarded to athletes competing at a Senior County Level or who are ranked in the top 3 in British Universities in individual Sports.

As part of the Scholarship Programme athletes also receive:

Membership to the Fitness Suite (Scholarship and Bursary holders only)

Discounted Physiotherapy and Sports Massages (Scholarship holders only)

Mentoring and support from Warwick Sport Staff and access to sports related seminars.

Access to a fitness programme and fitness support from our staff including fitness testing, training plans and weight training advice.

Warwick Sport Assistance Bursaries are also available for those athletes that are competing at a Regional Level to assist with entry fees and transports costs.

Bursary holders are expected to:·

Fulfil all requirements of degree programme and meet all expected deadlines

Perform at the highest level possible in their sport and display the commitment needed to improve and progress

Compete for the University when desired

Fulfil the requirements of the scholarship including attending workshops, development training and fitness training

Represent the University in a professional manner at all times

Termly updates of progress of the athlete in their sport for the Department to use for publicity purposes.
